A milder Proraso?

Post by HYPEractive »

Gentlemen,

I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a Eucalyptus & Menthol soap that is just a little milder than Proraso. I do enjoy Proraso, and it's pretty invigorating, but since I'm still learning my shaving method, it tends not feel too great after a nick or two (or three).

Thank you all in advance,

Can't think of anything else with Eucalyptus but Valobra Menthol might be an option. Arko moist is a lightly mentholated cream that I like quite a bit. Cheap too.

Maybe try Proraso White for sensitive skin. It is based on Aloe but it still has some menthol in it, but not so strong as the greeon one. Produces a good lather.

Ingrams do a menthol cream, if memory serves.

I second Velobra Menthol, inexpensive, very light menthol and lathers like no-one's business!! Used it this morning and received another DFS.

I very much enjoy and recommend Valobra menthol.

The scent was intially somewhat off-putting, for me. Kind of like a clay or putty scent.

But the performance (easy lathering, very slick, wonderful feel on the face both during and after the shave) makes this an outstanding product.

I even look forward to the scent now (must be positive association with the performance). I'm focused on finishing up a tube of Proraso, but I often open up the Valobra to give it a sniff in anticipation of using it soon.

I don't get any eucalyptus notes in the scent, so it doesn't meet that criterion of yours, but I still recommend trying it out.
