Avene shaving cream
Avene shaving cream
Good scent and lather, but a waste of money--here's why:
Ease of lathering: 9/10--Very easy to get it going.
Longevity of lather: 9/10--Stable, so multiple passes are no big deal.
General skincare: 5/10--This damn cream was giving me a burning sensation.
Scent: 8/10--Smells good, but perfumy. Not tradtional.
Price: 3/10--15,00$ for a 100 tube to me is still way too much.
Would I buy again: 0/10--No way. Not even for free.
I saw this cream in one of our pharmacies last December, and I thought I would buy it to see how it performs, because I was told it was supposed to be excellent for sensitive skin. Well, I got ripped off big-time. It is MUCH too expensive for what you get. To me, it has no skincare, and I find it burns and irritates my skin, even though the lather is rich. The scent is too cologny, or perfumy for my taste. Unless you have a big budget, I wouldn't recommend this stuff.

I have a tube of Avene, gifted from a friend who visited family in France and brought a tube back. It is very concentrated and a little (a pea-sized dab) is enough. Other than that, I agree with Jeff. It's way overpriced, smells to me like cold cream, and doesn't perform any better than the $3 tubes I can get from the Indian grocery stores. C'est la vie.
