QED Bergamot Shave Stick

I got my order in from Charles today---Bergamont, Peppermint, and Rose Geranium Shave Sticks. I just tried the Bergamot. I liked the smell and was really surprised at the amount of lather that you can work up. I made two passes-one with the grain and one against. I got a great shave with no irritation. I can't wait to try the others.

Just what *is* "bergamot" anyway; how would you describe it? I googled it and the best I could come up with is a cross between a citrus and a floral note (a description I just can't get my arms around).

Difficult to describe. It has kind of an orange smell, but not sweet. More of a bitter orange smell. Kind of earthy as well.
