shaving cream drying out my face

So Ive finished my sample of AOS unscented shaving cream which I loved and I went to get a tub and I bought sanalwood scent but for some reason my face keeps drying out while with the unscented I didn't have this problem. Has anyone ever had this problem?

I don't know about current production, but the AOS Valobra I got on ebay doesn't start to get dry until about the third pass. A dip of the brush into hot water immediately restores the moisture and re-lathers on my face fine.
