Pinaud Clubman Talc scent

Post by Shave4Fun »

I have never purchased any Pinaud after shaves but really like the scent of the talc. Do any of the after shaves have a similar scent?
Thanks
Roger

The Clubman aftershave smells identical to the talc.

The Clubman talc is really good stuff.

Yes, it is. The only complaint I have is the new flip up top versus the old one that twists. My new one does not like to stay closed.

Is there one retailer or internet vendor that you fellows use predominantly to stay supplied with the Clubman Talc?

I went by a CVS and a nearby Sally store, and they both carry it, right alongside the after shave. Sally has the best price! I'm glad to have found it so easily. Also, I'm impressed with the website. Thanks for the link!

I'm glad I "discovered" The Clubman talc. Since this subject came up, I've gone through several containers of the talc, and consider myself a satisfied daily user.

The stuff really appeals to me and the price is right!
My only complaint is the darn prroduct really isn't "white."
It has a distinct pinkish tint to it; when I apply it "below the Equator," and I sweat there,
my white Jockey's end up pink!
Comes out in the laundry, but it has raised SWMBO's eyebrows.
Anyone else notice this?? .... or care???

John, they make it in white also. It can be ordered from http://www.goodmans.net/d/1034/clubman.htm at an extremely low price $3.39 plus shipping. That's probably what I'll do, if neither Sally's Beauty Supply or CVS carries the non-pink/purple version. Of course, if I order it, I'm going to get several other Clubman products too. to maximize shipping expenses, of course.

Most of my underwear is colored but my wife did buy some white ones recently, and I noticed the pinkish tint from the talc as well. [-X
Next order will be white talc. 8)

Thanks for the Goodman's link, Gary!

To revive this thread with a bit of negative news: the nice people at WCS confirmed to me that Clubman
"White "Talc is alas the same culprit which contains Red 027 , the ingredient which gives the product a
decidedly pink hue. Darn! It's the white talc I've been using all along.

Apparently Clubman still sells a Bath Talc, available on Amazon(?), scent unknown. One of these days I'll
order some just to satisfy my curiosity as to ingredients and scent. Til then, pink underwear be damned;
my current Clubman Talc will still see daily use!

You might do a search for Jeris White Talc. Owned by the Clubman outfit and it sits on the shelf of my local Walgreens.

Yep, it makes my tighty-whities pink as well. SWMBO doesn't seem to care about that.

SWMBO does care about the powder landing on every surface in the bathroom ... I get the weekly chore of dusting, 99% of the dust is Clubman talc (!!).
