Aftershave (too subjective to make a recommendation to anyone else) but these are some of my favorites
English Fern
Osage Rub if you like menthol
Old Spice Fresh Lime
Bay Rum, there are too many to recommend just one
Gary

SOTD 99%: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, soaps & creams, synthetic / badger brushes, Colonial General razor, Kai & Schick blades, straight razors any time, Superior 70 aftershave splash + menthol + 444

Jack, I don't use these products as actual 'aftershaves' as they have too high an alcohol content for my freshly shaven skin, but for the scent, my two favourites are Penhaligon's English Fern and Trumpers Spanish Leather. Following those two favourites there are several that I also like; Taylors Sandalwood, Trumpers and SMN Lavender Waters, Penhaligon's Douro and several more.

I don't use aftershaves --- but wanted to reply.

I go with any one of the three skin foods from Trumpers -- West India Limes, Sandalwood or Coral.

Well, for genuine aftershave there is only one thing I use and have used for years now: Dominica Bay Rum. Everything else I use following is for scent. If held to three it would be:

Mennen Skin Bracer
Shulton's Old Spice
Pinaud Clubman

I honestly wear these the most for everyday. If it's a night out then I wear Atkinson's Royal Briar which is my hands-down favorite men's scent.

Chris, Wow!...I didn't know that ( or if I did I've forgotten...sigh ). Atkinson's Royal Briar is your all time favourite men's scent period? Jeez....cause I know you've sampled many of them. Do you still get it from Carroll & Co. in LA?

Gordon, due to good fortune and a little help from folks like yourself I was able to procure the last remaining stocks in the Western World of the original juice. I don't wear it all that much except for outings and family social gatherings, like for the Holidays. So I have a lot of the original stuff left and haven't had to go looking to Carroll's yet.

I actually have not even tried the Carroll's though I have asked them for a sample (to buy) and they declined. I wanted to see how much variation there might be as some folks feel there is a slight difference. One day I'll get to compare them, I'm sure, I'm just not in a hurry.

I like drugstore classics, especially Brut, Skin Bracer, and AV Musk.
