Re: Bay Rums
When I posted on this thread I forgot a couple of bay rums that smell like an old barber shop. That is logical because they both come from barber supply houses. First is Master Well Comb Bay Rum. Fully simple bay rum. Ingredients: Water, alcohol, glycerine, bay oil, and yellow coloring. I like it very much. The other is Stephens Bay Rum. Mine was given to me by my barber. He uses it on every customer. Ingredients: water, alcohol, fragrance, polysorbate 20, brown #1, polysorbate 80 & ceetyl acetate, and acetylated lanolin alcohol. Obviously not simple--and I don't much care for it (don't tell my barber).

That's what my old barber would do, reach for the Bay Rum, so much that we kids got used to it.

I haven't paid much attention to the ingredients and I guess I wish you hadn't called them to my attention ,but I do like the Stephan's Bay Rum and use it often. My barber agrees with me.
