Beard Oil as Aftershave

Since Penhaligon's apparently has no plans to make a Sartorial splash aftershave, I have been dithering about whether to buy some of their EdT to dilute for use as an aftershave, as I have done with some success with Creed EdPs, or to just buy some Sartorial Beard Oil to rub into my skin as an aftershave. Has anyone here used Sartorial - or any other beard oil - as an aftershave? Does the scent linger satisfactorily?
