I'm on vacation in Provence - very nice it is too. On a bus tour we got a far too brief but nevertheless interesting visit to Grasse. The town seems to be heavily covered with Fragonard logos and the trip included a 1h tour of their facility. Some pics below show the building, the "organ" used by the nose to make up a frag, some old extraction equipment, filling atomizers, and some antique bottles. I tried several frags in the shop and liked their solifleur lavender best. Definitely a town worth a longer visit sometime. Apparently there are only ~50 noses in the world and each can identify at least 3000 individual notes. They work for 2 hours a day and can't smoke or drink to excess!
