Wednesday:

Gillete TV SS with a Gillette Swede
Taylor's Eton College shave cream
Thayer's Rose witch hazel
Caswell-Massey Tricorn aftershave

As horrible as yesterday's shave was, today's was excellent. The razor glided over the Taylor's cream like Peggy Fleming.

I'm of two minds on the C-M Tricorn. I genuinely like the dried-down scent, but the initial application smells a bit too sweet.

The careful observer will note that I did, in fact, use a non-Trumper product. I believe in expanding one's horizons, even though I remain a shameless Trumper junkie.

Experiment #4:

Showered so no pre-shave
KMF Virgin Forest moisture shave cream
Tweezerman badger brush
M3
JASON Witchvera

Finally. A decent shave. Actually, quite a good shave. And the difference was the brush. Even the Tweezerman, which isn't exactly top-shelf, lathers circles around the Surrey boar brush. I continue to be impressed with the JASON Witchvera: it feels like a combination of Proraso Pre/Post and Trumper's Skin Food. And just a drop on moistened fingertips massaged into the face is all thats needed.

Good Thursday to All,

Today was QED Wild Orange shave soap applied with a C-M pure badger/boar bristle hybrid brush, followed up by some QED 101 cologne. 101 is a very tangy orange scent; a perfect compliment to the Wild Orange soap.

For the evening shower, L'O Orange shower gel, EO sweet orange shampoo and some Herbal Works Citrus talc and EO sweet orange lotion to round out the evening.

Cheers,
Richard

Gilette Adjustable / Derby blade
C&E Brush
C&E Sandalwood Cream
C&E Sandalwood aftershave balm

SCS Sandalwood EDT

Finally! a great shave after a week of miserable ones. Smooth and comfortable, just what a shave should be. Those Derby blades are really growing on me, I butcher myself with US personnas now.
"Because you're mine, I shave the line..."
