Gents,
How do you clean a brush? How often?
How do you go about cleaning your brush?
How do you go about cleaning your brush?
Sitting in the morning sun
I'll be sitting when the evening comes
Watching the ships roll in
And I watch 'em roll away again
I'll be sitting when the evening comes
Watching the ships roll in
And I watch 'em roll away again

Hello Chris,
I don't clean my Savile Row SR24. It gets "washed" everyday with shave cream, gets "rinsed" under running hot water after the shave, excess water is squeezed out after the hot rinse, bristles get brushed vigorously back and forth across a towel, and the brush is set out to dry, ready for the cycle to repeat the next morning.
I tried the Borax thing once. Saw no improvement or change in the bristles.
Cheers,
Richard

Chris,
I also go through the same routine as Richard, but then every three or four months I soak it is Borax. I put 1-2 tsps of Borax in a mug of Hot water and stir, I then place my brush bistles first into the mug and I let it sit for a couple of hours. I then rinse it and dry it as usual.
Paul.
