Firewall against the boar invasion...

Post by drP »

Just kidding... only an update of my brushrack as promised. Also update of my Plisson horn handled HMW's; today i received the last one, a #14. Not sure wether i'll order that bicentennary though....

Image

The ivory brushes: most left is resin, second one from the left is mammoth ivory, the other are elephant ivory.

Image

The horn HMW's: #20, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24

Image

This is how my rack looks as of today....

Image

With the mirror there are even twice as much beauties in my bathroom; sad thing though is that i can't use the ones "on the other side" of the mirror...

Image

Two Simpsons Polo 14 Manchurians guarding the sink and a Vulfix #38 to assist them just in case of...

Peter,

Nice pictures as always. I love that Beehive Plisson. Who made the two round ivory brushes in the middle? Simpson's?

Nice update, Peter, and a nice group of Plissons. Does this qualify as a collection?

The left round/billiard ball brush is a Kent, the handle of the right one could have been turned by Simpsons; a few years ago the Gentlemans-shop had a few ivory Simpsons for sale for outrageous prices....i gave it a Simpsons label, but in fact it has a Shavemac loft, so it's kind of blasphemy, since its not a genuine Simpson; i put the label on it when i was in a "reluctant "mood, but i'm going to remove it since it's not appropriate...

But your identical twin in the mirror gets the benefit of your good taste.

Are those two round handles retooled billiard balls? (Edit - Peter answered this question as I was thinking it - truly he has amazing powers.)

An amazing collection.

Nice pictures, although they have me raising my eyebrows for two entirely different reasons

Utterly unfair of me to mention it, since your English is so excellent and my Dutch so non-existent, but did you know that a 'wether' is a castrated male sheep? A brush of that kind might bring peace to the badger/boar divide, and even make Wendell feel at home (despite his ovinophilia).
