I only use mine with creams, and it has not shed any hair.

No. I have had no hair loss at all.
Works evtremely well on soaps (MWF, Tabac, Erasmic, etc.) and on any of my creams.
It is the perfect brush. So elegant.

The BK4 is a fantastic brush. It should be on a very short list of first recommended brushes for newbies and I think every serious or semi-serious wet shaver should try one (I don't mean to cause any flare-ups in anyone's SBAD . . . ).

Too late

I'm giving the Simpsons a try without the taped handle, and if I have problems, I think a BK4 is the way to go. I sure did like the BK12's handle and over-the-top luxury...

If you want to buy a brush, you won't be disappointed by the BK4. There is definately "bang for the buck" there.
