Some of my other work

Post by mycarver »

Here are a couple of my recent pieces. In another post I'll show the synthetics I've been working on. Until then, here is the wood. It's cherry but I have other woods in the shop as well as pieces done such as Mahogany, Coco Bolo, Maple and a few other exotics.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. But really, Longer, shorter, fatter, skinnier,, They're custom and I can make them any way I like. Next time maybe I'll go shorter,, or carve a different pattern. It's what strikes me at the moment. I 'kinda like the graceful sweep of the handle and it gives you something to hold . Now to carve a handle for the razor and the set is complete.
Now I'm starting to carve the ivory. It's going well and I'm quite happy with the results.
Here is one of my first stands along with a soap bowl.

I LOVE your work! And no, I don't say that to all the boys.

I do think it would be more appropriate to post your pictures in the Shopping section, since certainly this is advertising for your business and not just showing off a hobby piece or two.

Unless these are all in various corners of your bathroom and you refuse to sell a thing.

Wow. Your work is beautiful. I went to the web site but could find anything about shave brushes. Is there another site you sue for shaving products with details about the knot sizes, shapes, hair, etc.
Thanks,
Irv

Where do I sign up, marvelous stuff. Your first example has a "whimsy" about it. I better go run and hide after saying "whimsy" or turn in my man card. :)
