Simpsons 56?

Post by churchilllafemme »

This Gimbels brush sold on eBay for $140. I thought it probably was a rebranded Simpsons 56 (see the number on its handel) and bid on it, but I dropped out at $90. Did someone here get it? Can anyone tell by looking at it whether or not it is a Simpsons?

It is a Simpson brush. I am sure that its real price is 140-150 after that butterscotch 57 which was sold two weeks ago. Made Rite was made brushes for Gimbels like Simpsons which makes this brush special. Edit: The buyer is enough half-witted to buy a crack handled Big Fellow for $331.

I did manage to get this one a couple days ago, a Trumpers which looks like it might be a 55.

Gimbles? I would have made a run at that for nostalgia. If anybody ever sees one from Hornes you will gain the eternal gratitude of this soul for advising me of it.

Hi Julian

Things could be better! An old 'ailment' from the past is rearing its ugly head at the moment, But apart from that, ok thanks!
Still checking out the forums but from a further distance than before!
