Applying lampblack to Somerset Simpson brushes...
Re: Applying lampblack to Somerset Simpson brushes...
But that's a completely different finish, right? I quite like the printing Lee uses, but the lampblack just has a special look to it IMO... it's unique.

Re: Applying lampblack to Somerset Simpson brushes...
Guys
I am sorry but I have no plans of any kind of foray, either via forums or 'practical', as far as anything 'Simpson' is concerned.
Different opinions and understandings a while ago have meant that I am resigned to being part of that Simpson 'history'.
I still view the forums occasionally but will not be providing any further input.
Once again, sorry, but it has been better for me to keep the memories along with the rest of my family rather than play any part in 'today'

Gary, thanks for replying, I appreciate it. I understand your position on the subject, even though I feel it is a shame that these Somerset brushes can't get some sort of makeover, specially from someone who definitely would know best how to approach this task.
I wish all the best to you and your family, and I hope sometime in the future you're capable of reconsidering, for the good of all of us, brush lovers in general, and Simpson's in particular.
