Omega 20107

Post by brothers »

Same handle as the 20106, and the same excellent top grade bristles, but a somewhat shorter loft than the 20106. When mine arrived a few days ago, it appeared that the tips of the bristles were already in varying stages of splitting, and it has been shaving very well, without hardly any new brush funk. I think it compares favorably with the Semogue 2000.

I have the same brush ordered and it should arrive any day. I'll probably use it as is for a while but I have plans of shortening the loft and putting a new handle on it.

Nice work Oscar. Man, you really did set the knot deep into the handle, didn't you! Does it perform just as you were hoping it would?

Nice!

Oscar, what was the final loft? It looks like something I would like. No that wasn't a hint, but a compliment. :)

I set the loft at 53mm for a 25mm knot. I'm very satisfied with the performance but really need to wait a while to see what I have for sure. My thought is if you can go with a short loft on a badger you should be able to do it with a boar. Boar seems to have a tendency to want to clump together rather than open up so you might need to encourage that during the break in process but I'm very happy with the non floppy (short lofted) boars I've made.
