My most recent and unexpected brush. I'm just getting familiar with it. Pics and comments to follow . . . . :)

David, it's got a bit of backbone and isn't overly scritchy. Not what I think some people call floppy. I'm going to be using it for soaps mainly, over the next few weeks, with a cream experience thrown in here and there. It's different from the soft and luxurious Erskine TGN Silvertip I've been using for the past 3 weeks or so, with a shaving cream. I bought it thinking I could easily sell it if I don't like how it performs, but now after just a few lathers, I'm starting to look forward to the next time. I am going to use it in a small 4 brush random rotation for a while, long enough to see how it stacks up against some proven to be really great performing brushes.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Gary, it sounds very Plisson-like. :) Could you also share the approximate specs?

David it's about 24mm x 54mm.

That's not a very big loft for a Plisson 24mm knot... should provide a very interesting face feel!

David, I agree that the proportion isn't as one would expect. It must have been a characteristic of the Grey range? My Plisson chart tells me a knot of 24mm should have a loft of 62, and would be a 16. The 12 has a loft of 56 and a knot of 22. I generally prefer the longer lofts, but this one is probably very close to the same height as my Thater, but the Thater has a wider knot. Maybe someone else has a brush similar to this one, and we could compare the two.

It would definitely be interesting to see a comparison. All my Plisson's have a higher proportional loft.
