From the left; a Truefitt & Hill Simpson Chubby 3, a Kent H 12, what I am pretty sure is an old Rooney Persian Jar, an old Simpson #58

Yikes, that's a big brush! It seems unwieldy except for only the largest necks and faces (or perhaps for head shaving).

My C&E Super Badger -- which is a Edwin Jagger clearly branded item - is also huge, showing similar proportions to my Wee Scot 9 - a wonderful little latherer in its own right. :D

A big brush? How about this one on the left:

That's a Vulfix window display brush (the other two are Shavemacs for those who like long handles. The one in the middle has an XXL knot for size reference).

for a second or two i thought DrP was back in town!

Big brushes are nice to look at and nice to hold, and nice to sit back with a beer and imagine the lather, but they are not that great to use.

My vintage seventies #24 Plisson HMW set in plexi shown next to an ivory handled Chubby 3. You want a big brush? Accept no substitutes.

Ah, good old Portra 160 VC. The newer stuff's not bad, though. What? There was a brush in there somewhere?

Greetings Chris! I dearly miss the short-lived but truly wonderful Portra 25. (Insert heavy sigh here.)

Buzz
Buzz, I never even knew there was a Portra 25!

I have never really fancied color negative film. I have long been a shooter of color positive/transparency/slide film. What I have always liked about slide film is that what I got back from the lab reflected exactly what I did with the film in-camera. In the case of color negative film, I couldn't control the resulting print, since I didn't print it, myself.

I've been off the radar some over the last few months, but here's some more big brush entertainment - a couple of Plissons dwarfing a tallish Simpson Chubby 3. The Plissons are almost large enough to wash my truck with...

jar, that's a nice curvaceous handle on that brush....beautiful.

Buzz, that's a great vintage Plisson you posted. I love the old Plisson font.
