Nowadays I pretty rarely acquire new shaving paraphernalia, but sometimes a new item just pops up, usually a shaving brush, and I just have to go for it... so I thought I'd share this one.
It's a pretty rare vintage Simpson brush with a horn handle, and in NOS condition to boot. I actually don't recall ever seeing another one like it, but I could be wrong.
According to Mark, it should be around 30-40 years, so Somerset era. Anyway, here are a couple pics:

Very nice find. Are you going to use it? I’ve a Somerset-era Duke 2 Pure, not as old as yours, which is in my regular brush rotation. I quite like the feel of the pure badger.

Thank you for the very kind words, gents.
I do plan on using the brush at some point, mostly because I'm quite curious about this Pure badger hair. Don't recall seeing a Pure Badger knot that looks quite like it, and I anticipate it will be an interesting shaving experience.

Very nice! Interesting that it says “London make”. I’ve not seen that version of the sticker before.
