I have a wooden brush where the finish is wearing off in a few small spots. Is there something simple I can do to restore it, preferably low or no maintenance? It's not an expensive brush, so my fallback is to do nothing or buy a new one, maybe with a resin handle to avoid such problems. But I hate to throw out something that still works fine.
Would a few dabs of clear coat hobby paint do the trick?
Minor brush repair - worn shellac
Re: Minor brush repair - worn shellac
Paul, I have used clear nail polish and it worked very well (it looked fine and it stopped further chipping of the existing finish).
