I Almost Became a Widower

Post by razor_boy »

I almost became a widower last night. My wife got the clay from her face mask on my Savile Row SR-24 brush. Right now it is soaking in Borax. Looks like I will have to ban the wife from the bathroom

Oh well, this could be excuse for a new brush. Maybe the SR-12T.

It is with great sadness that I report that all of the clay came out of my brush

That's why you tell her, after your next shave, "Honey, your clay left minute particles that have clung to my brush, forever damaging it, and ruining my shaving brush. I must get a new one"

Hello Paul,

The SR24 is one tough brush. I have one as well and have thoroughly brutalized it to make it fail in a variety of experiments. Not a whimper, not a hair out of place. The SR24 probably relished the clay and would ask you for more if it could talk :)!

Great brush. SR24: the SUB of shaving brushes.

Your brush doesn't talk to you?

This little episode gotten me wondering, if the brush fell into the toilet, would Borax clean it and even if it was cleaned, would you still use it? :?

Raul, I have it on good authority that some slothful badgers in the wild are themselves used as toilet paper by larger more menacing animals. Supposedly, the extra softness of the tips of the neck hairs, combined with the stiffness of the shaft of the hairs, is quite luxurious and efficacious :D
