Confirm my suspicisions on Vintage Gillette DE Razors ID

Post by Antique Hoosier »

I need a little help on proper ID on two Antique Store Gillette DE Razor finds today. I'm thinking the one on the left is a vintage Super Speed and the one on the right may be a Gillette Milord? Any confirmations? Thanks in advance.

The one on the left is a 40's style Super-Speed. It may be the photo, but I don't really see any gold tint on the razor on the right. Is there actually any gold plating on the razor? Look under and inside the head to see since gold plating is less likely to be worn away in those places. If there isn't any gold, you may just have another Super-Speed where some of the nickel-plating has worn--showing the brass underneath.

CigarDan, Thanks for your response. There is gold plating on the one on the right that has faded with use and age. The other forums B&B someone said it appeared to be a Milord.

Thanks

IF there is gold plating, then it is a Milord.
