Merkur Bakelite DE

Post by clownjuggles »

I just received this DE today. Ray set a personal speed record in delivery and shipping in my opinion. I ordered the razor on Friday at 1 am EST and it arrived here today on Monday. This is my first DE and I will post a report on it shortly.

Well,

I have had my first double edge shave. I must have lucked out big time. I didn't have any nicks what so ever. I notice now a half hour later slightly cut too close feeling. Time to goto truefitt tomorrow and get some balm and a razor case considering i have no way to transport the razor. Ahh the wonders of a 100 close shave. Everyone in my family says I am nuts,. They all gave up the DE over 30 yrs ago.... ahh well.

Not a bad day. Now only if my brush would have arrived! ARGGH

And on the technical side. The razor is sufficently heavy for daily shaving and definately a good deal. It is sturdy and works really well. The bakelite is very sturdy.
