Squire's Blade Reviews
I can't edit the sticky, but the link is here:Squire wrote:Swedish Gillettes just posted. Someone else will need to link them here as I am still learning how.

Squire, these test reports are a great contribution to your fellow wetshavers, as you have established tangible benchmarks lacking heretofore.
I expect that your top picks will typically suit the largest number of users. Nevertheless, for those whose preference lies elsewhere, your reports could well help them to identify the blade characteristics that yield them the best shave.
Many thanks -

I was just going to ask the same question.GA Russell wrote:Squire, you mentioned somewhere that you don't bother to review mediocre blades, but are willing to warn the group of a bad one.
I for one would enjoy seeing a simple list of those blades you thought were too mediocre to review.
All the best,
John

Added Treet Dura-Sharp.
I was thinking that it might be useful to have some sort of price measure to go along with the blades. After all, a $0.12 blade that gives 3 par shaves may be better than a $0.45 blade that gives 6 par-to-good shaves.
My hesitation is that I don't like the idea of putting prices in the post, as the prices will change over time...
Thoughts?

Guys, I avoid doing that except to say a blade works as well as one that costs more but that's a comparison rather than a mention of price. I really don't want price to enter into it because the most expensive blades made cost less per box of ten than a McMeal and the price of lunch over a week will buy enough blades to last six months.
The only thing that matters to me is how well it shaves.
