Dura Sharp Blades, a Review
Dura Sharp Blades, a Review
From the Treet Corp in Pakistan come these stainless blades.
Description These blades present in a cardboard box without the means of disposing used blades. The blades are double wrapped without glue, which is a plus in my book. The box is my hands down favorite logo so far, sort of Edwardian Baroque.
Characteristics A stainless blade of clean appearance, it makes reference to a "silver edge", what ever that is, whether describing the color of the edge or referencing some different metal content, I don't know, however it shaves like every other standard stainless blade in it's class. A two part sharpening process with a long sloping grind from the table to a fairly long hone to the edge. The lines are uneven and the appearance a bit rough looking, but at $13.00 a hundred you get more than you're paying for.
Use A decent, standard stainless blade that shaves like other, similar blades irrespective of brand which is to say sharp and smooth enough to provide an adequate to decent shave. It in fact performs as well as some others that cost twice as much. I found it to be a razor specific blade in that it gave only adequate performance in three fixed razors, Weshi, Schick Krona and EJ Chatsworth, but gave better performance in two adjustable razors, a long handle slim Gillette and a Futur. Rated 6.25.
