Worst blade ever if reviews are to be believed.

Probably made of wood.

If these are the standard US product they are not recommended.

There is a Super Silver blade (orange packaging) sold in The Netherlands which is not very good, but that one does not have "Platinum hardened edges" like these blades. I don't know anything about this particular blade and I haven't seen reviews of it.

Hey Jan, haven't looked at the locally available blades in years but I did try the US Gilletes awhile back. They didn't meet my base line for a blade worth a review and were outrageously expensive as well.

They do look like the US sold version, which is atrocious.

OK I bought some of these! I've used these blue pack platinum edged Super Silvers before with some success so I thought they were worth a try.
I know they get mixed reviews but I think that may be because there are a few variations on these Super Silver blades, some better or worse than others.
The orange pack Super Silvers sold in Holland & France etc don't claim to have a platinum edge. They usually get bad reviews. But I bought a pack in France on holiday a few months ago in the new cardboard packaging and I got some really great shaves from them. Maybe they've changed?
Anyway I tried shaving with one of these blue pack blades off ebay this morning and enjoyed a great shave. I had been using a 70s NOS USA made Platinum Plus for the last few days. The Super Silver wasn't in that class but it was still a sharp smooth blade. So I've bought a few blades that I'm happy to shave with.
That's the good news, bad news is the pack must be old because the light machine oil they ship in has dried out a bit so I had to open the plastic pack to get the blade out - something I've had to do once before with NOS Gillette blades.
Incidentally I've got some 80s French made Gillette Platinums which are superb and the blade itself is stamped 'Super Silver' and also 'Platinum Plus'.
