Yup -- all my buddies in their last couple of years in high school swore by the pyramid blade sharpener - I never did succumb.

(Dave, BTW just now noticed your interesting avatar. Watched the Criterion Collection “Pandora’s Box” the other night. I’ve think I've been obsessed with her since at least college. A true enigma.)

It might just be a standard glazed ceramic tile. I got a tile on eBay, not knowing that that was what I would be getting, but it did work on some blades, including Mach 3 and Schick FX Diamond.

Of course, once you know that, you can get one at a local store. The only difference in the one I bought was that it had a rubber pad glued to the bottom to keep it from slipping when you put it on a countertop to use it.
