Thanks, Chris!
I've decided to put off buying that Dovo (for now). I do have a Wade & Butcher Special I bought from Lynn at StraightRazorPlace. I also have four other razors I got from ebay: a Faultless, a Genco, a Moroso, and a Worcester. At least I have enuff stuff to learn sharpening with, hehe!

Tim,
Why don't you consider the Dovo Renaissance. It has no gold but like the Bismark it has a 6/8 blade and is one of the most handsom razors available in the market. I've used mine for several years now and still it looks brand new.
Besides I enjoy using it more than the Bismark.
As long as you use your razor regularly you will lose some of the gold over time.
