Gents,

I did a search before posting and nothing came up, so thought I would ask.

Anyone try this?

I looked up the Azor on Amazon, and it got mixed reviews. One drawback mentioned was that the design makes it hard to shave under your nose. Also, it's very light.

I tried it about three years ago. It was PIFed to me by the creator, Will King. It was an interesting shave. The handle reminded me a lot of a toothbrush. It has molded rubber joints that actually flex to pivot the cart. The cart has four blades that didn't seem evenly spaced. The shave was good, as I was coming off of Schick Extreme III disposables. I heard the Azor was being picked up by Duane Reade Pharmacies and maybe another company in the US. These days if I shave with a cartridge, two blades are the max for me, and I like Gillette branded Trac or Atra and their knock offs made by anyone except A.S.R. I think anything over two blades doesn't work well with mug and brush shaving.

Paul...duh..why didn't I think about amazon..thanks.

Tucker...thanks for the description...yikes the "felt like a toothbrush" line is not a positive one for me.

Appreciate both your input

Sorry to create possible confusion by reviving this old thread...

A friend of mine tried the Azor recently. It's now apparently owned by Remington, and I don't know if it's been modified, though my guess is no. He said it was one of the best shaves he ever got, and despite having 5 blades, he got excellent shaves even on a beard growth of a few days.

Ordered the travel kit directly from Remington. Includes an Azor alloy razor,
1 blade, balm & shave gel. Free shipping anything over $5.99. The whole kit was under $11 which includes tax.

I have the Azor and it was a pretty decent shaver all in all. I tend to bounce around all over the place razor-wise, but I remember this one doing a pretty decent job.

It's back to the Trac II for a while now. Damned ADD.

I would feel cheated if I ordered it and didn't get that kind of service. :)

Interesting. First time I've read the term "Wilkinette", too. Sort of like "Remchester".
