can anyone give me any advice on removing the green substance on the handle of this razor??.......thanks...rick

In my case, Bar Keepers' Friend and a toothbrush.

i wonder if the green is brassing? if removed the underlying brass will show through the nickle plate?

Probably just really old lather. I've cleaned up a lot of razors that looked like they had this green stuff all over. Bought 'em at cheap prices because everybody's scared of the green crud. All it needs it to be scrubbed off.

I think the green stuff is brassing, since copper corrosion is green, and there's brass under the plating. I don't think it's surface dirt.

So you can clean it off, but it will come back with use.
