Personna's made in USA now

Let's talk about single and double edged razors and the blades that they use.

How do they compare against these?

Was there a time when Personna wasn't making DE blades in the USA?

Paul, I have no idea how these would compare, and am not all that informed on all locations where they are made. (Perhaps my title was misleading. Should have said "current.") The ones I use are made in Israel.
The ebay price seems quite good if the blades perform well. So I'm fishing for feedback.

Those are the Personna blades often referred to as 'Lab Blues'. I have them and I find them to be excellent blades.(that is a decent price for them too)

I have other blades as well(Feather, Derby, Polsilver) but I would consider these Lab Blues and the Gillette 7 O'clock (yellow wrapper) as my best go to blades.

Of course YMMV.

you know why Clive,

it is because nobody can get a blade as sharp
as Merkur does.

this should open a can worms

The question is - 25% sharper than what? And how does it affect the shave and the life of the blade?

To return to the original question, I find them to provide a good shave equal to 7 o'clock blues. The Personna Lab blues are apparently made in the USA, and that is a plus for me. The label says Vienna, VA.

totally agree, Marc

I have to admit that my curiosity was piqued on hearing about a well crafted American made blade, but the minute i read that it equaled the performance of a 7 o'clock; all interest evapourated

I expect that's the Twin Rivers plant near Knoxville, TN, and so far as I know they have continued to produce blades. As for claiming 25% sharper that's like saying my dog's smarter than yours.

This do resemble the medical blades. As far as sharper they probably refer to previous blades.

We now live in a condo and can't have a dog but if we did I know he/she would be smarter than anybody's and he would comment, too. In fact, in thinking about it all of our previous dogs would be 25% smarter.
