Ouch! Must be one heck of a razor! Probably shaves 200x better than a $150 straight.

I admittedly know nothing about straight razors, but isn't that steel called damascus steel and not damascene?

Brian, I think the definition would be "something with the characteristic markings of damascus" which means it's a fake!!!! Not damascus, just marked like damascus.

It seems like any steel marked Damascus is a fake since nobody knows how the original Damascus steel was made although people have tried to reverse enginner it. However, it is not Damascene because Damascene means somebody from Damascus (male or female).
