Joris Rosewood Handle just received today. Wow! Best shave ever! Some call it aggressive and it is a bit, but shaves really close and smoothly. My new favorite. The rosewood handle is a bit slippery when wet but nothing you can't handle with a good grip.

Sounds like a nice razor. I have a gold Fattip which is said to be the same head. What blade did you use? I've only used Polsilver Super Iridium which worked okay, but produced mild irritation.

Feather blade. It's the only kind I use. I have heard the same thing about fattip. The head on the Joris really bends the blade more than most other razors into a deep U so the angles of the edges take a little getting used to.

Another Joris lover here. It is a Fatip head that's reworked by Plisson (made a bit thinner and replaced). I use mainly Polsilvers, Iridiums, Personna's and Feathers in my Joris razors.
