I have this Valet that is Autostrop Safety Razor Co. Limited, made in Toronto, Canada, Patent 1907-1914-1923, Other Patents Pending. Here are a few pictures. I can't seem to be able to determine which Valet it is or the date. There is no serial number.
Now I have to figure out how to insert an imagine. Anyway any though?

Mühle R106 (black handle R89) closed comb, Feather blade

I usually shave with straights or the open comb version of this razor, but as I didn't shave till late in the day and had only 16 hours till my next shave, I thought I'd shave today with this tamer version of the R41.

The razor may be less aggressive than the R41, but still provided a smooth, comfortable and close shave.
The difference to the R41 was less than I remembered.

No wonder that this razor is so popular and often recommended (sometimes in the Edwin Jagger version) for beginners.
