I just saw this razor on eBay. Does anyone else know about this thing? I never heard of it before.

It looks like a Valet Autostrop.

It’s for stropping blades and would come solo or with combination sets. Unlike the auto strop razor you can’t shave with it. I mean, maybe but it would probably be awkward and uncomfortable

Actually, I can answer my own question, since I did some more looking around. Yes, you are back (!!!!), but changing your name slightly, which qualifies as a hybrid resurrection/reincarnation.

I don't know how rumors of a worse fate got started, but I'm very glad they proved wrong.

So, Dave, have you tried any of these newfangled SE razors? I'm not sure if any of them use a regular Gem blade. The oddest one might be the Italian Focus Dynamic razor (which uses half a double edge blade), which I doubt would qualify as an SE in your book.

Yes it’s me

I’m not quite sure how that information exchanged hands but none of it is true. I at no point was that ill/deceased..I even broke my back in 2016 and I’m still here...hahaha.

I haven’t ventured down the road of newer SE razors yet. As someone who enjoys history I probably won’t until they’re 30 years old at least. Nothing against them but like you I prefer the tools of old :)

Good to hear from you Paul.
