Clive, this set is a nice piece of Gillette/shaving memorabilia.

It looks like the same razor is now repackaged for current sale as the King C. Gillette razor. Surprising that Gillette.com doesn't list it among their Father's Day gifts.

There are also blades under the same name, but I haven't yet looked into who makes those, or where.

I did find it at the Gillette website after all:

https://gillette.com/en-us/the-latest-f ... c-gillette

It's officially available only at Walgreens drugstores, but I first saw it on eBay. According to the description at Walgreens.com, the razor is made in China and the blades are from Russia.

sorry to tell you, but the razor or at least the handle part is absolutely nothing like the one being sold at walgreens.

fyi....i broke down and used it a few times, but while it isnt a bad razor, it actually gives a decent shave with the blades it comes with, the razor for me is totally out of balance. The head is too heavy for the handle, which is a shame because the handle by itself, while quite light, feels good in the fingers

You mean the "Heritage" razor in late 2019 made by Muhle is different from this one at Walgreens? This new one is something different? The price is so similar, too.
