Won this item this morning. It was advertised as a Wilkinson Deco razor because of the style, but I know nothing about this particular model. Anyone ever seen this before?Image

A pair of Gillette Presidents (left side “Y2”, right side “Z2”) and the smallest bottle of Vitalis I’ve ever seen.

A Sticky Situation

Image

Note the difference between the Sticky sold in Europe on the left and the North America one (US? Canada? Both?) on the right.

Image

The end caps are different also.

Image

So are the safety bars (Europe on left).

Image

A new razor? For me?

Image

The razor comes with a presentation card.

Image

This "new" Sticky came with the original sealed blades in the compartment on the bottom of the case.

Image

The razor won design awards. You can see why, this razor still looks modern almost 50 years later.

Image

The manual. Yes, you will get to read it.

Silver and Gold -- Not really silver, but it sounds good :)

This gold Aristocrat seems to be quite rare. I have been unable to track down any specific information regarding year of manufacture or what its "proper" name might be.

Gillette No. 58

I purchased this razor from someone in Budapest. It was apparently purchased in 1956, because someone wrote that year in ink on the side of the box.

Gillette Executive

Box, case, and instructions
Image

The instructions that came with this set proclaim it to be "the world's most luxurious shaving kit" (if you look carefully at the instruction sheet in the photo above, you can just make that out).

Razor in case
Image

There is a flip down mirror connected to the lid of the case. This set came with 50 blades. There are two packs of 20 concealed behind the mirror, and a pack of 10 by the razor. All of the blade packs that you see are still unopened.

Here are a few schick Injectors I picked up.

One is a Type E (the one with the orangish bakelite handle)
One is a Type J (the white handled one)
And the last is a Type M adjustable

I'll try a little later to switch these out with bigger/better images..

A Couple of real GEMs!

Post by Gatorade »

A couple of real GEMs Not sure of the exact years. If you know PM me and I will put it here. The white handle is called a Featherweight. The black handle is the Push-Button and was marketed to guys with heavy beards. James(With The Grain) found an original ad for it and it looks like the 50's I put it below the pics. Thanks James!
