You are looking at a REAR Vintage SILVER SPARTACUS Thiers Issard Straight razor.
This is the legendary Razor well known for its smooth buttery shave due to the edge on this razor.
They don't come up very often for sale. From my research this razor was made in the 1920/30s
The blade is a 6/8, This razor would need honing to get it to be Shave ready.
I used a 5/8 and 11/16 so I am let this one go its on here

George, you say the handle has been shortened. Can you explain how that was done, and if it still permits the blade to fold properly between the scales? Does the razor strike the pin when closed? I think this might be a great shaver. What do you say?
