Mods/Admins please read - PM problem...

Post by nodaktim »

I just checked my email and see that I received a PM yesterday, but it still does not show up in my SMF 'inbox'.

Is this a known problem or is my post the first that anyone has read about this occurrence?

The sender could have deleted the message before you read it.

Richard,

That may be a possibility, but I was on SMF around the time the email was sent and never got the SMF PM pop up window.

I just got another PM from the same person as response to my inquiry. They do not have the PM in question showing up in their 'sentbox' either. This current or new PM did trigger the pop up window.

Time for C.S.I. SMF to solve the case of the missing PM... :P

While csi smf is out and about, I wonder if anyone could explain why some threads you post to activate email notifications that a new post has been made and others don't.

Thanks

There is definitely a problem with the pm system. Very erratic.

Clive,

There is an option to in your profile to receive email notification when new posts are made to threads that you started or replied to. If you clear that option then you'll no longer receive that email.
