I can't figure out how to post pictures to the Gallery or post an avatar.

My camera won't make small enough pictures.

Any suggestions?

Tony:

You need to resize the pictures before posting them. You can do that with a graphic program. If you don't have one, you can download a free one here:

http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967

This is a free, small, and easy-to-use program (reply if you need help on how to use it).

They can also be resized effectively in "Windows Paint" ... using Windows XP

Still doesn't work

Post by tonyespo »

I did what Gramps suggested and open my Paint program in Win XP. I opened the file and went attributes and played with the width and height until I had the file to 503KB less than the 512 max. I went to my Gallery and tried to upload a file. I browsed to the picture and it still wouldn't upload.

Any suggestions?

I got it to work

I downloaded the free tucows program and WOW that is one great program. It showed me in plain English, USA English, sorry Gramps how to change the size. I uploaded a picture in my gallery called Saturdays shave. I took a photo of what I will shave with today.

Thanks to everyone for all your help.

I love that Irfan program. I have been using it for more than 5 years. It is very simple, and supports many file types.
