What Happened to the Old Search Function?

Post by JimT »

I could easily find Lyrt's Product Ingredient Database with the old search function. I tried the Google function last night and could not locate this old post. What happened? How do I locate old posts?

I don't know, but, with respect, it was much more useful than the current one.

As discussed in many threads (!) the database got corrupted by frequent server failures. It is also getting rather too big for the host we have. Vince spent many hours manually reindexing the look-up tables, but it still didn't recover everything as searchable. Consequently the Google search is being used while Vince looks into finding a new hosting service.
