Having a problem with the gallery!

Post by AceHarddrive »

Hi guys!
For some reason or other (probably the other), I can't create/upload to the gallery. My browser is Mozilla Firefox. When I click on "New" in the create/modify album, I get a tab that just says "untitled." Usually, I would post something like this in the Firefox area of MozillaZine. Any ideas?

Hello Tim,

I use Mozilla Firefox, too. When you click on new, you just need to give the new album a name and go from there.

I have set up two albums like this so far.

Hi Richard:
Normally I might think that would work for me, but it isn't. When I click on new, I get a white page with a tab that says "Unititled." Also, I checked the Javascript and it says: "javascript:Album_Create();" I have a feeling I may have an extension that's interfering with things.

Tim,

I just created an album using the latest Firefox 1.0.1 and it worked like a charm. You should not have a problem with any version of Firefox but out of curiosity which version do you have exactly? I think you just try out 1.0 or higher.

Let me know.

Hey Vince:
I'm still using the 1.0 PR version. Never did get around to downloading the updated version (which I'm doing at this moment). I'll let ya know.

Yup! That's all it needed! Update to 1.01... Now I have two albums in the gallery! Thanks for the help, guys!

Somewhat offtopic, but its good to see alot of fellow firefox users here! Any linux users?

I love my open source software as much as I love a good shave, actually you can draw alot of parallels between using a DE and using linux, they both have a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it there is less irritation and a high level of gratification. Plus you can spend all the money you save by using free software on more shaving creams :D

well.. Apple definately has some nice features but it kind of defeats the purpose of open source since their software is closed source and even more expensive than most PC software, not to mention their overpriced hardware.

That said, their OS is alot more user friendly and alot more polished out of the box than most of the open source *nix based distributions so I guess the price can be justified, its definately a better alternative than shelling out money to micro$oft :)
