QED Shaving Soap and Merkur Blade Longevity

Anyone notice the life of their DE razor blade seems a bit longer with a QED soap? Normally I am fortunate to get 5 to 7 days with any of the 3T's soaps. For some reason, I have gotten 9 days on a blade whilst using QED soap on the last few days of blade life. :?
