Jeff, Quite so. No pictures, however. How big are their hard shave soaps, and could you make a stab at describing the scent? Perhaps comparing it to something more widely familiar here? Thanks.

Sunday:
- Merkur HD w/too-old Feather blade
- Proraso green shaving cream

I thought the 35-degree temperature this morning (which is either 0C or 150C to you Candians & Europeans -- I'm bad a math) was bracing, but then I slathered on the Proroaso green cream. And suddenly that menthol & eucalyptus went to work and it was colder on my face than in my back yard. The chilly weather didn't bother me all day!

A n00b's question: I have been putting the Proraso cream on my face and lathering it up right there. Is there any better (or worse!) way to use it? Does anyone lather the stuff up in a Chalice of Balding, say, or in their hand?

Gordon, the bowl, which is black and red is 75ml, and the scent, is fresh, and clean, with a sort of lemony trace. I wish I had a camera to show these items, but at the moment, I don't. The soap sticks are 50 ml, and come wrapped in silver foil, and have a very handy holder. The scent and lather are identical.

Thanks Jeff. Sounds quite pleasant, a bit like the scent of the T&H hard soap, of which I'm quite fond. Next time I order some Gillette Swedish blades from auravita, I'll see if I can include a cake of the Erasmic soap as well.

Gordon
