The brush is grand. Thanks for asking. Its almost the same size as my Floris so no learning curve there. The bristles are nice and firm and it lathered up like a champ. And, and not one single lost hair! I can't imagine needing anything else. Note to Richard: SMF 2007, I know, but besides that then

Saturday:
Sabrini apothecary best brush
Provence Sante soap
Schick injector
Thayers rose WH
Proraso a/s balm
Rosehip seed oil
As reviewed yesterday by Chris, the Provence Sante is very lubricating; in fact it rivals or equals my "gold standard" for slipperiness, Knize 10 soap. And the terra cotta dish is a nice change from the ususal too shallow wooden bowls other soaps come in.
Regards,
Stan

Saturday:
My 5-year-old son initiated today's shave, noting that we hadn't shaved together in a while.
Both of us:
Arko soap with a boar brush. (Breaking from my usual approach, we loaded the brush and then built the lather in a separate lathering bowl. Two or three trips back to the soap, a drizzle or two of hot water, and some vigorous stirring action later, we had an amazing volume of creamy lather.)
Him: Gillette Tech sans blade. (An absolutely pristine razor bought from Cigar Dan earlier this year.)
Me: Merkur Progress w/ Israeli Personna, Feather AC/SuperPro for final pass. (I'll have to try this again, but from today's experience I'd almost say the Arko performed better with the Feather AC than with the Progress -- though that's getting down to a geeky level of detail.)
Both, again: Woods of Windsor EDT. (I wanted GFT Spanish Leather, but decided not to break ranks with the boy, since he deliberated so hard over his choice.)

I had a nightmare last night in which I was smearing canned gel on my face and then proceeded to shave with a twin blade disposable. I didn't cut myself or anything gory, worst thing was I had to continue on my day with an awful shave. Stubble everywhere, the humiliation I had to endure! Terrible!

TV and Swede
Sabrooney style 1 tiny Best
Arko soap
Homegrown ASB mix of jojoba and hair conditioner
Floris Elite
The little brush is a great combination with a soap stick to the face, and of course the razor/blade combo is perfect.

Saturday:
Gillette '58 TV Super Speed / Gillette "Swede"
Taylor OBS Rose Shave Cream
Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel
Penhaligon's Hammam Bouquet Aftershave
Love that Hammam Bouquet. I wish the shave cream were readily available. It appears that there is an Aussie purveyor, and I may just buy some.

Michael, My God, man! Are you now shaving with a Slant Bar and just water?! How barbaric! And no cologne? You, who rival Chris F. in possessing such a vast inventory? What's going on over there? Is the freezing fog getting to you? Try and get centered my good fellow. We need you here in...a....balanced frame of mind.

Gordon
