Long gone liquor

Post by LGWapnitsky »

Back in my college days (1993-1997), I recall an interesting liquor on the market. It was an acquired taste, but rather delicious. The only things I recall about it are that it was in a brown glass bottle and it had the word "Creek" in the name.

Any ideas, SMF'ers?

Can you narrow it down a little? What was the taste like? Did the liquid have any color?

Ren,

I think I've seen a bottle of that at my parents' house. I prefer CR or CC myself.

Nope...that that one either.

As for color and taste - it was almost milky and had a bit of a cocoa-like, sorta spicy flavor.

Best I can do from memory.

No...no...G-d no. That's that awful anise flavor.

I'll probably never figure it out. My friends & I drank too much in college to remember anything.

Creme de Cacao maybe but that not spicy. Was it a local product or at least made in North America?

Not creme de cacao...i'm very familiar with that (good ole chocolate martini). It was a domestic (American) product, probably sold in Canada as well. I recall seeing it in magazines like Maxim. I used to buy it in the liquor section of the supermarkets (upstate New York had excellent selections).

Well... I'm flummoxed. This is going to bother me until the name is found. :(

My friend's parents owned a liquor store. They sold the liquor store around that time period. I'll ask him. He had a small collection of oddball liqueurs including an Earl Grey liqueur (not homemade) and others.
