Hello ScottS,
Yes, that is an original Medalist, made in Akron, Ohio. Visit www.flyanglersonline.com, type in "Medalist History" in search and read my article on vintage Medalists (all photos are from my personal Medalist collection) if you have some time.
On a different note, today was my favorite Arko cream scent, citrus, followed up by some CF Special Edition Limes EDT.
Cheers,
Richard

Friday:
Travelling, a hotel shave:
Rooney style 3 small finest
Floris JF sample cream
Floris Santal A/S and EDT
Schick injector/ Pell blade
My second experience with Floris creams. Two outstanding characteristics: A very small amount of cream gives a great amount of lather, and lubrication is incredible, better than any other creams I've used. Scents are true to the corresponding EDT.
Regards,
Stan

Saturday,
Sabrooni 1 Medium Finest
Burma Shave soap
Gillette Trac II
TGR A/S Balm
Royall Muske
Big time barbershop day with Burma, Royall, and finishing with some Clubman talc.
I've been rolling Wool Fat with the Trac II on and off the past couple of weeks and loving it. A recent thread about bargain products got me thinking about Burma Shave (my favorite discount soap.) Hadn't used it in a long time and decided to give it a whirl. It just doesn't have enough cushion to stand up to the DE but when used with something that doesn't require quite as much technique (such as the Trac II or Injector) it is more than adequate. Loooove that smell. If scent was all that mattered I could get by with Burma Shave and Musgo Real and never look back.
