Thursday

Merkur HD
Derby Extra
Simpson's BB Special
Proraso (green) shaving cream
Proraso splash a/s

Broke out the Proraso to help clear my semi-bloked sinuses, and it did help. I've not used Proraso for a while, but if you like the scent and the menthol, I don't think it can be beaten for the price. Nice wake-up call on a cold October morning.

Thursday

C&E BBB
VDH Select Soap
Merkur HD
Derby
Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Picked up a puck of VDH Select yesterday and shaved with it this morning. I found that the Select lathered up quite quickly with a nice fairly dense and slick lather. Shave was very nice and given the price a very good value. Couldn't resist the AV this morning.

Good day,

Good morning. Thursday:

Aristocrat w/IP
Emillion
Trumper's Coconut cream
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel
Harris Pink

I am liking the Coconut- so I may have to take back some of the evil things I have said about Trumper's creams. Although I tried the pot of Violet the other day, and it was still %^$#.
Best,
Chris

Gillette Goodwill/Gillette Plat.
Rooney 3,1
L'Occitane Cade shave soap
Trumpe's Limes A/S

Two-pass BBS.

Plus, as a reminder that shaving is always an adventure, I nicked the inside of my ear :? . The blood loss was controlled by jamming a wad of TP in my ear for a few minutes.

As a testament to the sharpness of Gillette blades, I didn't feel a thing.

Thursday:

Gillette '58 TV Super Speed / Gillette Super Stainless Steel Blade ("The Spoiler")
TOBS Rose shave cream
D.R. Harris Pink aftershave

This is day 13 with this blade. I'm really shocked by how good and long-lasting these old blades are. To recap, I found a package of these blades in my parents' attic a month ago. I'm not sure of the exact date, but I found them with a box of Wilkinson Bond cartridges, which I associate with the late '70s or early '80s. Amazingly good blades, and none the worse for their time spent in the attic, it seams.

I wish my father had purchased a case of them just before switching to the Trac II!

These Iridium blades are nice - we'll see how long it lasts. The previous blade was a Feather, lasted 7 shaves (a record for me).
