I think they both will perform similarly... which scent do you like better?

Yeah,

It will probably come down to scent preference vs performance. I have only sampled the colognes, but I thought GFT was better. GFT is more of a citrus scent and 1805 is more of a marine scent if that helps.

They are both too heavily scented for me, and I'm not over fond of either of the scents as well, but of the two, definately the GFT.

The 1805 is a weird scent for me. I love the shave cream and balm scents very much as they are very similar. The cologne on the other hand is a love hate thing for me. Some days I like it and some days I can't stand the smell of it. It definitely has a different scent than the cream and balm.

I have both and I'd go with 1805. The GFT has lots of lemon to my nose, and the 1805 has the ocean, fern, lavender,...hmmmm...1805.

The 1805 is also a better shave.

Get them both, that's the only answer.

I have and used both several times. They each represent my favorite of their respective houses.

I personally would give a slight edge to GFT because I find you can put the tiniest amount on the brush and get a rich, full lather. If I were truly careful each time I lathered up, I bet I could go a fully year on two jars.

That's not to take away anything from T&H and their fine products and I second the recommendation of others to try each. Either way, you will not be disappointed.
